Software Engineer
Go · Flutter · Python · Full-Stack
I build backend systems, ship production mobile apps, and work across the full stack. One app live on the App Store, more in progress.
Background
My name is Naim. I'm a developer based in the United States, focused on Go backend engineering, designing APIs, data models, and systems that hold up under real-world usage and failure.
I also ship mobile apps with Flutter and build modern web experiences with Next.js and full-stack JavaScript. My app Gearlog is live on the App Store - built solo from idea to production.
I use AI tools (Claude, Google Gemini) to move faster, but the basics stay first: system design, API contracts, data models, and testing. Context engineering helps; it doesn't replace engineers who own the architecture.
Tooling evolves. Judgment doesn't.
AI compresses execution time. It doesn't replace knowing what to build, how to structure it, or why the tradeoffs matter. I own the architecture end-to-end.
Work

Built and shipped a full iOS vehicle maintenance app from scratch using Flutter. Designed structured data models for vehicles, service logs, and mileage tracking. Implemented reminder logic, historical tracking, and PDF export for full vehicle reports. Built end-to-end from idea → production.
Key Engineering Decisions

Backend API streaming live sensor data from a Raspberry Pi to the cloud with real-time monitoring.
Personal finance and budgeting app focused on debt tracking, expense management, and custom themes. Preparing for App Store launch.
